Job Description:

Clinical Supply Partnering Associate supports the implementation and management of a sustainable and strong alliances within an agile and flexible network of internal & external capabilities, ensuring that clinical trial specifics needs are met.

The scope of the network is covering critical suppliers and vendors offering services for:

IMP pre-finished goods activities (e.g.

blistering); IMP labelling & packaging; logistic and distribution activities related to the clinical study needs; comparator sourcing, packaging & distribution; ancillaries/Medical Devices sourcing, kitting and distribution.

The Clinical Supply Partnering Associate will be responsible to:

Manage the vendor process related indicators and financials, assigned to the vendors and studies assigned to him / her.Support the Clinical Supply Network management activities – including but not limited to:

ensure monthly calls or support weekly calls, review KPIs and drive improvements.Follow the ENG process for vendor management, ensuring visibility of the KPIs, completing risk assessments and other activities as required.Support financial related topics for all related clinical vendors/suppliersResponsible for study setup activities at vendorsSupport or lead stakeholders in the management of key suppliers to deliver the optimal strategy to meet clinical trial specific needs by leveraging team knowledge and key drivers.Work with Vendor Teams to deliver the optimal strategy to meet clinical trial specific needs by leveraging team knowledge of the key drivers.Provide oversight of vendor life cycle management, as per ENG governance, for Vendors and critical suppliers:

introduction of new Vendor or critical Supplier, maintenance, performance follow up and discontinuationImplement vendor governance rules and guidelines, applying and reinforcingSupport the transversal “Vendor Team” of applicable vendors or suppliers to ensure optimal and efficient management of the operational activities with vendors/suppliers.

And can act as leader for some key suppliers.Support to ensure any concerns / issues / deviations / complaints are addressed and action plans are defined.Maintain effective collaborations within DCS, with key stakeholders in S&TS, PVU’s and relevant contacts in Global Clinical, Development Operations and Global Medical Affairs.Lead initiatives and projects to improve efficiency of vendor management using theoretical concepts and adapting them to UCB’s requirement.Lead internal communication related to Clinical Supply Partnering Team activities.Back-up activities of the department when required.ProfileMasters degree in a relevant fieldApics certification is a plus.Basic understanding of financial management.Supply Chain Expertise:

understands vendor management and sourcing processes.Relationship management and organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills, mainly in English.Proven teamwork and collaboration skills, including ability to coordinate and manage both internal and external resources and establish credibility with internal and external management.Disciplined, high sense of urgency and problem solver; knows how and understands why to prioritize tasks that would block operations and / or jeopardize patient customer service while keeping the discipline to follow strictly the routine tasks (daily, weekly, monthly).Project management:

able to create, follow-up and control a project plan.
