Now, we are looking for a Clean Finishes Engineer in our office in Nivelles.
The Clean Finishes Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects in pharmaceutical industries meet high aesthetic and GMP quality standards.
What is the role About? The ideal candidate will possess expertise in finishes such as walls, doors, paint, flooring, and other internal fit-out elements, with a strong focus on cleanliness, pharmaceutical environments and precision.
Responsibilities:
1.
Project Planning:
• Collaborate with architects, discipline engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design specifications related to clean finishes.
• Develop basic and detailed plans and schedules for clean finishes, taking into consideration project timelines and budget constraints.

Material Selection and Procurement:
• Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate materials for clean finishes that align with project design and budgetary considerations.
• Ready to prepare ITT, BOQ and technical specifications for small or large projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
3.
Quality Control:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that clean finishes meet industry standards and project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any defects or deviations from design requirements.
4.
Technical Expertise:
• Possess a deep understanding of various clean finish techniques, including painting, flooring, wall coverings, and other decorative applications.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in clean finishes technology and incorporate them into project planning.
• Should be able to draw in AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3 D.
• Experience in permitting files in Belgium or in industrial site Master Planning is an asset.
5.
Coordination and Communication:
• Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and other project team members to coordinate clean finishes activities with overall construction schedules.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address challenges, provide updates, and ensure smooth project execution.
6.
Budget Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for clean finishes, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Track expenses, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of Proven experience as a Clean Finishes Engineer or similar role in construction projects or for an engineering office.
Previous experience working on projects with sustainability or LEED certification goals will be an asset.
French and English fluent, Dutch is an asset.
Travel availability – national.
The person should be ready to work on the client sites the majority of the time.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes techniques, and industry best practices.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools for project management and design.
