Siemens Digital Industries Software in Belgium is seeking a C++ SoftwareDevelopmentEngineer specializing in numerical methods.
As a member of a global, multi-site development team, your responsibilities will include the following:
Utilize your expertise and passion in numerical methods to enhance and maintain the solver component of Simcenter FLOEFD.Develop and enhance heat transfer and joule heating modelling on an unstructured mesh using Finite Element methods.
Additionally, maintain the existing Finite Volume methods for both fluid and solid domains.Implement requests from product management and internal initiatives.Apply best practices in softwaredevelopment to create high-quality, object-oriented software using the C++ programming language.Analyze and implement software refactoring to adapt to future-oriented, user-centric technologies.Bug fixing.Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and ExperienceCandidates applying for this position are required to have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.Proven experience in C++17 development as part of a team, building commercial software.Experience in numerical methods such as Finite Element and Finite Volume on unstructured mesh.Experience in developing complex applications using modern design patterns and principles.Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio.Strong English verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and ExperienceIn addition, preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
Familiarity with parallelization techniques such as Intel TBB and OpenMP.Experience in template metaprogramming, STL, and boost.Experience with CAD software such as NX, CREO, SolidWorks, or CATIA V5.Experience with GIT version control.Experience in Linux development.Location:
