Your functionEGI wishes to reinforce its Finance and corporate affairs team in the context of the continuous growth of its activities, To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced BusinessController, acting as the right hand of the Head of Finance and Corporate Affairs, providing operational and strategic support regarding financial topics.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze project financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgets and forecasts.Prepare detailed financial reports as part of the monthly closing, including management accounts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.Provide regular financial updates to project managers and senior leadership.Lead the end of year audit for all EGI companies, with support of Group accounting.Examine any unusual or unexpected items in the accounts.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional project teams to develop precise and data-driven project budgets and financial forecasts.Continuously track actual expenses against budgeted amounts, proactively identifying opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards across the countries where EGI is present.Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting methodologies for reconciling different types of accounts.
Document the steps to be taken, the supporting documents to gather, and the key checks to perform during the reconciliation process.Drive efficiency improvements in financial operations.Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations impacting energy transition projects.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess financial risks associated with energy transition projects.Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure their implementation.
Financial Planning:
Assist in the development of financial models and business plans for new energy transition projects.Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability and potential returns on investment.
Team and Client Interaction:
Work closely with internal and external clients to provide financial insights and recommendations.Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure that all transactions are accurately captured in the general ledgerAddress client inquiries and concerns related to project finances.
Your profile Masters degree in Finance or related fields;+ years of relevant experience in Finance and/or Audit:
