The job’s mission:
As BrandManager,Mako,Europe, you are the European brand expert who sets strategic direction and ensures execution for portfolio growth through the development of marketing campaigns and strategies, portfolio development, internal and external education strategies, and European customer engagement initiatives.Essential duties and responsibilities:
In alignment with global strategy, you will take the ownership of shaping the strategy for our Mako portfolio in Europe to achieve required growth, profit, and market share targets.You will work?closely with local Marketing teams in leading downstream execution to drive market share gain, while also contributing to upstream?marketing?initiatives to ensure product / business development projects address European customer needs?appropriately. You will create/distribute scalable assets, tools, marketing campaigns and best practices.In collaboration with the Education Manager, identify education, brand experience and customer engagement opportunities for both internal and external audiences to increase brand perception and value.You will develop trust and strong relationships with the European Joint Replacement (JR) Leadership Team, Local Marketers, Sales Teams, internal stakeholders, and key customers (KOLs).In collaboration with the broader European Central and Local Marketing teams, you will drive the creation of the Annual Sales and Marketing Plan (SAMP) and portfolio roadmap.You will partner with the local JR Leadership and Marketing teams to drive forecast accuracy and build strong relationships with supply chain partners to develop an appropriate demand plan.Define and execute regional product life cycle management (PLCM), including phase-in (launch) and phase-out of products.Provide analysis of Mako business performance, brand perception, marketing activity impact and other drivers of future brand performance.
Define mitigating actions to deliver on strategy.Manage branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing of assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights.What are we looking for?An energized and strong personality marketeer who is a great collaborator, networker, and communicator, capable of leveraging these strengths effectively within a matrix organization.Proven track record in leading successful marketing projects (incl.
marketing plans, product launches and campaigns, etc.) that result in above market growth and delivery of financial commitments.Strong track record as leader of cross-functional projects, ability to build and maintain cross-functional as well as cross-geographical relationships.Strategic thinking with hands-on mentality, develops and champions new ideas, challenges the status quo.Proven track record of analysis of key customer, competition, and market trends and capable of translating this into actionable plans.Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Science, Economics or relevant field (Master’s or MBA highly desirable).5+ years of work experience required.5+ years Medical Device marketing/sales experience preferred.Experience in international marketing and/or sales in a multinational medical device company is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines.Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority.Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).Fluency in English is required, an additional European language would be a plus.What do we offer?
