Conduct assessments of process areas for environmental regulatory applicability Perform general health and safety walkthroughs and auditing on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Lead incident investigations to determine root cause; followed by development of corrective action measuresDevelop policies, training and written procedures as needed.
Develop risk assessments and safe operating procedures for equipment and chemical use, including but not limited to personal protective equipment (PPE) hazard assessment.
Maintain site equipment and chemical inventory maintenance.
Host and/or participate in monthly safety committee meetings.
Implement new corporate business unit plans; conduct ongoing annual self-assessments for existing programs.Review new research equipment, automated equipment, equipment moves, and lifts, including equipment installations and commissioning of equipment.Provide ongoing updates of projects and status to Manager Qualifications We would expect the successful candidate to satisfy the following:
BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related field5+ years of experience overseeing EHS responsibilities at R&D or manufacturing operationsCSP (or comparable recognized international safety certification), EIT, PE or relevant certification required.
Working experience in country with knowledge of country regulations in addition to regional/local regulations and their applicability.Certification and education to work as site health and safety officer / prevention officer per local regulationsCandidates speak Dutch and English PM Group TurnhoutFlanders
